Michael Wilde, former chemistry teacher at a Widnes school now jailed

A former chemistry teacher at Wade Deacon Grammar School has now been sentenced to two years imprisonment for sexually assaulting two boys under the age of 14 whilst he was a teacher at the school between September 1972 and July 1974.  Wilde pleaded guilty to five counts of indecent assault and was sentenced at Chester Crown Court on Monday. Warrington Guardian has commented on the story.

Robsonshaw solicitors have been instructed to investigate historic sexual abuse claims on behalf of Wilde’s victims.   Sam comments, `even though the abuse is historic, those affected remain troubled and feel let down, they should have felt safe and secure at school.  The feelings of despair and resentment are often very difficult to overcome.  Some victims takes years to come to terms with painful childhood experiences.  Whilst no amount of compensation can change the past, it does at least enable those affected to seek expert help and counselling which is often only available privately’.

Samantha Robson specialises in sexual abuse claims on behalf of school pupils and has successfully won numerous claims for victims.  Sam is keen to speak to anyone affected by this scandal.  If you or a family member would like to speak to Sam on a confidential, no obligation basis please call 01392 34533 or email Sam at sam@robsonshaw.uk.
